Terms & Conditions
Two Golden Words

These Terms and Conditions set out the agreement between you ("the Client") and Nina Goldfuss, trading as Two Golden Words ("I", "me", "my"), for the provision of speech and language therapy, assessments, and parent coaching services.
By booking a session, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
1. Services Provided
- I provide online speech and language assessments, therapy, and parent coaching for children and families.
- Services are delivered via secure online platforms (primarily Zoom) and are tailored to each child's individual needs.
2. Scope of Practice
- I am a registered Speech and Language Therapist and provide diagnoses related to communication difficulties within my professional scope.
- This includes, where appropriate, diagnoses of speech, language, and communication disorders.
I do not provide diagnoses for:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
- Learning disabilities
- Global Developmental Delay
- Mental health conditions
- Neurological conditions
- Any other diagnoses outside Speech and Language Therapy
I do not provide emergency, crisis, or out-of-hours support.
3. Booking and Payment
- All sessions must be paid in full at the time of booking.
- Payments are processed securely via Stripe.
- Sessions are confirmed only once payment has been received.
4. Cancellations and Rescheduling
I understand that plans can change and aim to be fair and flexible.
Standard Notice
A minimum of 48 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule without charge.
Late Cancellations
- Less than 24 hours but more than 12 hours' notice: 50% fee charged
- Less than 12 hours' notice or non-attendance: Full fee charged
Emergencies
Genuine emergencies will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Please contact me as soon as possible if an emergency arises.
5. Refunds
- Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis.
- For assessments and reports, payment becomes non-refundable once work has begun.
6. Online Sessions and Technology
Clients are responsible for ensuring suitable internet access, equipment, and a quiet environment.
If technical difficulties arise:
- If the issue is on my side and cannot be resolved, the session will be rescheduled.
- If the issue is on the client's side, this will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
I am not responsible for interruptions caused by poor connectivity or unsuitable environments.
7. Parental Supervision
For safeguarding and safety reasons:
- Children under 7 must always be supervised by a parent or carer during sessions.
- For children aged 7 and above, levels of independence will be agreed on a case-by-case basis, with parental consent and appropriate safeguards.
Parents remain responsible for their child's wellbeing during sessions.
8. Consent, Recordings, and AI Transcription
- Occasional recordings or AI-assisted transcription may be used for clinical accuracy, with explicit parental consent.
- Parents may opt out at any time.
- Consent preferences must be communicated in advance.
9. Reports and Intellectual Property
- Written reports may be shared by parents with schools, GPs, and relevant professionals.
- All therapy materials, resources, and written content remain my intellectual property and may not be reproduced, edited, or used commercially without permission.
10. Ending or Pausing Services
I reserve the right to pause or end services if:
- Sessions are repeatedly missed
- Payments are overdue
- Consent forms are not returned
- Safeguarding concerns arise
- There is a breakdown in the professional relationship
- Engagement is insufficient for effective therapy
- The child's needs are beyond my professional expertise
Where possible, this will be discussed with parents in advance and appropriate referrals will be suggested.
11. Confidentiality and Data Protection
- All personal data is handled in line with UK GDPR and my Privacy Policy.
- Confidentiality may be broken where there is a safeguarding concern or legal obligation.
12. Complaints Procedure
If you are unhappy with any aspect of my service, please contact me directly by email: nina@twogoldenwords.com
I aim to resolve concerns promptly and professionally.
If needed, mediation may be considered before legal action.
13. Limitation of Liability
- I will always provide services with reasonable skill and care.
- I am not liable for outcomes beyond my professional control or for actions taken without following professional advice.
- Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
14. Governing Law
- These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
- Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
15. Changes to These Terms
- I may update these Terms from time to time.
- The latest version will always be available on my website.
